Internet : Dial *70 before your connection number. When you surf the Internet the call waiting will automatically be inactivated.
Things to know
The second caller who tries to reach you will hear a ring and not a busy signal. Your Voice Mail will reply to the call after the second beep, or if you don’t have Voice Mail, the call will go unanswered. Number Storage will keep the number of the unanswered call. Call Waiting is not functional when the Conference Calls function is activated. Your Voice Mail will reply to the call after the second beep, or if you don’t have Voice Mail, the call will go unanswered. The caller hears a busy signal or his call is forwarded to your Voice Mail, if you have subscribed to it.

Personalized Calling, by number
Take only your calls!
The Personalized Calling service allows two extra phone numbers on the same line, each with its own distinctive ring.
You can distinguish between calls for the parents and calls for the children. Students who share an apartment can distinguish their calls (up to 3 different rings).
| Personalized Calling | Ring |
| Basic service | Regular |
| 1st extra line | Long long |
| 2nd extra line | Short long short |
Things to know
Numbers for Personalized Calling can be listed in the phone book for a low monthly fee. When you use the Call Dorwarding service for your calls, the phone where the call is received sounds its usual ring, not the Personalized Calling ring. A subscriber can only have the Call Forwarding service on his main number (the fax number ring can continue without forwarding). You can have up to three separate phone numbers, but you only have one telephone line.
Personalized calling: $ 3.00 /month
Voice Mail
Don’t miss any more calls!
Voice Mail can take your messages when you cannot answer, or when you are already on the phone or on Internet.
Useful information
You can listen to your messages, erase them or save them, 24 hours a day, from any touch-tone phone in your home or elsewhere. You know you have a message when the dial tone is short and choppy and when the light is flashing* (on certain phones). Nevertheless, you can receive or make calls. Voice Mail can take up to two extra outside calls forwarded to your voice mail (cell phone number, chalet number, etc.) If you have Call Waiting and you are already on the phone when a second call comes in, Voice Mail can take the second call automatically, if you do not wish to take it. You can program your phone so that Call Forwarding sends calls directly to your Voice Mail. To activate, press *72, and to inactivate, press *73.
* If the flashing light stays on when there are no messages, you can inactivate it by pressing *92.
Things to Know
Voice Mail can take your calls right after the first ring, or after the number of rings you choose. Make arrangement for the number of rings with CoopTel Client Services. When you are away, you can avoid long distance charges by dialing 535-7000 (if you’re in Granby) or 548-7000 (if you’re in Upton) even if your voice mail is a 532 number. When a user picks up his messages, the choppy dial tone and, on some phone models, the flashing light will go off even if other messages have not yet been heard or if they have been saved. A message that you have heard will be saved for 14 days and messages you have not heard will be saved for 7 weeks. Voice Mail has the capacity to take 50 messages, each of 5 minutes duration.
* Link to the user guide for Voice Mailclient services section (SEE USER GUIDE).

The Conference Calls service is useful to organize special events or to talk to friends and family. Three of you can talk at the same time, or you can put one person on hold while you talk to another.
Using Conference Calls

If the number of the third party is busy, or if there is no answer, or if you have dialed the wrong number, press twice on Liaison or Flash (or press briefly on the cradle switch).
