CoopTel reinvests in the community
As a cooperative, Cooptel does not seek profits to divide among its stockholders, but rather uses the overpayment of its members to redistribute among themselves, or to undertake initiatives for the good of the community.
These overpayments are distributed regularly in the form of refunds, but also in the form of financial involvement within the community. In keeping with its mission, CoopTel has adopted objectives which it can meet by means of this financial aid to members of the community within which it pursues its activities.
Here you will find the three main forms of financial aid through which CoopTel returns money to the community.
The solidarity grant: (a charitable donation) in the form of money or other, of a modest amount and which serves to support organizations and initiatives of benefit to the community;
Sponsorship: which involves an exchange between CoopTel and the sponsored party, also a modest amount, whereby CoopTel in exchange receives value in the form of visibility or other.
Partnership: which implies a long-term commitment, or one of greater scope, and whereby Cooptel and the party making the request develop a generally long-term relationship to the benefit of the two organizations.
